Timelines are slippery, especially in the afterlife. But at some point after dark on March 26, 1989 (or perhaps in the dawn hours of March 27), a blonde teenager named Laura Palmer whispered to Special Agent Dale Cooper, “I’ll see you again in 25 years.” Laura made this vow from beyond the grave, of course, and the unraveling of her murder was the basis for David Lynch’s legendary Twin Peaks.
